Overview

Specific learning objectives
The student will acquire a wealth of specific skills related to Augmentative Alternative Communication in developmental age, skills of working in an interprofessional team for the assessment and design of a rehabilitative-educational intervention of AAC in the different pathological frameworks that require such an approach, skills on assistive technologies and the modalities of AAC intervention aimed at facilitating the participation and inclusion of the subject with communication needs.

The master's course will provide a wealth of:
- basic knowledge regarding the overall development of the subject with communicative disability in the different clinical pictures in developmental age, Alternative Communication and assistive technologies, an ethical approach according to the bio psycho social model;
- specific skills regarding the ability to carry out an assessment aimed at an AAC intervention, team design of a structured AAC intervention based on the underlying pathological picture, on AAC strategies and tools.

The professional development course is open, subject to selection, to those who hold the following university degrees: university diploma, bachelor's degree, master's/master's degree. It may also be open to those who hold a bachelor's degree and have professional experience deemed congruent with the purposes of the course.
