Already since the 2009-2010 academic year, the educational offerings of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia fully respond to the principles introduced by the reform of university courses introduced by Ministerial Decree 270/04.

The bachelor's degree ensures adequate mastery of general scientific methods and content, even when it is oriented to the acquisition of specific professional knowledge and skills. The normal duration of the degree is 3 years. To be admitted, one must possess an upper secondary school diploma or other qualification obtained abroad and recognized as suitable.
To obtain the degree, together with the academic qualification of doctor, the student must have accrued 180 CFUs (University Educational Credits) including those related to the mandatory knowledge of a foreign language as well.
