The Director has the representation of the Department and presides over the Board and Council.
The Department Director:

• implements the resolutions of the Council and with the collaboration of the Council promotes the activities of the Department;
• supervises compliance with the laws, Statute and regulations;
• maintains relations with other departments of the University, academic bodies and all other entities at the territorial and academic levels that promote and/or coordinate teaching, research and technology transfer.

For the three-year period 2024-2027, Prof. Massimo Dominici is the Director of the Department, Prof. Fabio Catani the Vice Director. The Vice Director replaces the Director in all his functions in case of his impediment or absence.
