The health/multi-risk coverage for abroad AON STUDENT INSURANCE is activated via the dedicated portal of AON www.aonstudentinsurance.com, as indicated in the information note available at the link http://www.affaristituzionalicontrattagare.unimore.it/site/home/ insurance.html under the heading HEALTH/MULTI-RISK AND PERSONAL COVERAGE ABROAD "AON STUDENT INSURANCE", which indicates regulatory and economic conditions, as well as the activation methods.
The Aon Student Insurance health coverage is valid 'anywhere in the world' and also covers the risk of COVID 19 infection (provided that the disease was not contracted before the trip and that the policy was not purchased upon reaching the destination): in this regard However, it is advisable to keep the AON site constantly monitored.I also underline that the Policy does not cover the so-called "preventive medicine", i.e. the costs of vaccines and the costs resulting from any quarantines are not covered; swabs, however, are covered if carried out in the therapeutic context of the established disease and not for diagnosis.
As indicated on the AON portal:
- the COMPLETE formula offers coverage for medical expenses, civil liability, personal items, accidents, legal assistance and emergency assistance costs
- the START+ formula is supplementary to the EHIC (health card), i.e. it covers medical expenses not covered by the EHIC, as well as civil liability, personal items, accidents, legal assistance and emergency assistance costs. In essence, the holder of Start+ can contact the health service of the host country, showing the TEAM/EHIC and then request, through Aon Student, the integration of what is not covered by the European health card TEAM/EHIC; naturally in this case, the coverage does not operate in a direct form (i.e. direct payment to the structure) because it operates as a reimbursement of the differences.
The Start+ is therefore proposed:
- if it concerns a trip of EU citizens traveling within the EU
- depending on the answers given to the questions on the possession of the EHIC (EHIC), in particular it is proposed if you answer "YES" to both questions (i.e., if you declare that you have an EHIC, 100% operational, Aon Student offers the Start+ although not covered by TEAM).
For any doubts or further information you can also contact the insurer directly at info@aonstudentinsurance.com as well as contact customer care (even if the coverage has not yet been activated) also via the contacts available on the Customer Care / Assistance page Customers of the www.aonstudentinsurance.com portal
