The student must compulsorily comply with the preparatory requirements set out in the Teaching Regulations, indicated below:

1st year

The “Biomedical Sciences 1” course is preparatory to the “Biomedical Sciences 2” course.

2nd year

The "Conventional Radiology" and "Projections and Radiological Anatomy" courses of the first year are preparatory to the "Computerized Tomography and Equipment" and "Specialist Radiology" courses of the second year.

The “Internship 1” course is preparatory to the “Internship 2” course.

3rd year 

The “Internship 2” course is preparatory to the “Internship 3” course.

The "Radiobiology and basic radiotherapy" and "Nuclear medicine" courses of the second year are preparatory to the "Special techniques in radiotherapy and nuclear medicine" course of the third year.

Enrollment in later years 

The transition from the 1st to the 2nd year is allowed for students who have an educational debt not exceeding 15 CFU. The transition from the 2nd to the 3rd year is allowed for students who have an educational debt not exceeding 20 ECTS.

For students who are temporarily unsuitable for the specific job due to pregnancy, the internship exams will not be included for the purposes of calculating the educational debt.

During the three-year period of the Degree Course, additional training activities are planned, previously approved in the CCdS. These activities must be recorded in the appropriate booklets and delivered to the Student Secretariat at the end of the career. The total number of credits foreseen for further training activities must be no less than 6 and the Med/50 professionalizing workshops (3 credits) are to be excluded from this calculation.

The Degree Course organizes and promotes initiatives useful for achieving the required amount of credits in the three-year period.

In particular, participation in:

  • Thematic seminars (proposed and organized by the Degree Course or by external organizations)
  • Congresses
  • Continuing education courses 
  • Webinar
  • TECO Project

Instructions in case of injury

University students, when carrying out activities covered by INAIL insurance (such as internships, laboratories, exercises, teaching activities involving exposure to insured risk, and in any case all teaching and learning activities organized and authorized by the university - Legislative Decree 90/2025 converted into Law No. 109 of July 30, 2025), are treated as workers for the purposes of insurance coverage against accidents at work and while commuting. In the event of an accident, the student must immediately:

  • Inform the Technical Coordinator of the internship location.
  • Have the Technical Coordinator complete the "Declaration of Student Internship Attendance" form and prepare a copy of the monthly scheduled timetable.
  • Go promptly to the Emergency Room to report and complete the INAIL work-related injury medical certificate.

The injured student must promptly send an email to the following address: infortunimedicina@unimore.it, attaching the following documentation:

  • Medical certificate of work-related injury (INAIL) issued by the Emergency Room
  • Declaration of attendance at the internship of the injured student, completed by the Technical Coordinator of the facility
  • Monthly schedule of attendance for the internship involving the injured student
  • Identity document
  • Tax code of the injured student
  • Email/cell phone number of the Technical Coordinator – for any further information by the SPP (this may not be the same as the Coordinator; this is the person who was actually supervising the student at the time of the injury) of the internship facility.

Injury while commuting

If the injury occurs while commuting, the student must go to the Emergency Room and follow the instructions provided.

The following documentation must be attached in addition to the documentation for on-site accidents:

  • the CID (incident report)
  • or, if the police were involved, their report
  • vehicle insurance
  • driver's license (either the intern's or the driver's license if the intern was a passenger)
  • identification document of the vehicle owner (if it is not owned by the intern).

The documents must be in PDF or JPEG format, and must be scanned, not photos.

Examination sessions for the academic year 2025-2026

The dates of the examination sessions and the publication of results will be published by each individual lecturer on their page on the ESSE3 website.

There will be a single examination session, beginning on 4 November 2025 and ending on 16 April 2027.

There will be six exam sessions during the session, during the periods when classes are not in session.

Five of these exam sessions are divided as follows:

  • 07/01/2026 - 28/02/2026: two exam sessions at least 15 days apart
  • 01/06/2026 - 31/07/2026: two exam sessions at least 15 days apart 
  • 01/09/2026 - 30/09/2026: one exam session

For students who are behind in their studies and for all those who have completed the teaching activities required by the degree programme, special exam sessions will be published in Esse3 even during periods of face-to-face teaching; however, these students will still be able to register for the standard exam dates without restrictions. A final exam session is scheduled in time for the submission of degree applications.
