How to register

Procedure for exams online booking:

• On the University portal, select the Esse3 link;
• select the ‘Login' link and enter your user-id (StudentCard number) and password that were given to you with your StudentCard when you enrolled;
• select the ‘Exam sessions' link.

Booklet booking: The system automatically displays the list of exam sessions that can be booked on the date of consultation, only for those that are already present in the electronic booklet because they are derived from the career plan or entered directly by the secretariats.

• Select the desired exam session by clicking on the blue booklet (information on the exam session) and proceed with the booking.
• At the end of the procedure, it is recommended to print the reminder.

To view/print/delete the bookings made, select the ‘Booking noticeboard' link, again from the personal page.

Deleting a booking is only permitted during the period in which registration is open. It is strongly recommended to delete the reservation in good time if the student decides not to show up for the exam, to ensure adequate classroom reservations.

Reservations made remain visible on the notice board for 60 days starting from the date of the exam or until the minutes are recorded (if these are recorded before 60 days).
In the event of a notice from the teacher, via email, of the publication of the exam result, to view/refuse the result (if the type of exam chosen by the teacher allows it):
• from the personal page, select the link 'Exam notice board';
• to refuse the result (only for written exams) activate the check-box and save. If the grade is accepted, nothing needs to be done, the 'silence-assent' rule applies.
Any refusal must be made by the date set by the teacher, usually communicated in the email and in any case reported on the results notice board.
The results remain visible on the noticeboard for up to 15 days after the deadline for any rejection of the result.

Please note that rejection of the result is only permitted in the case of exams defined as 'online' or 'standard'.

If you encounter difficulties in accessing/using the procedure, you can send a request for technical support to the email address: webhelp@unimore.it.

Elective or student-choice educational activities (ADEs)

The elective teaching activities independently chosen by the student (ADE) constitute an integral part of the study plan in the amount of 2 credits for each year of the course, for a total of 6 university training credits (CFU). The ADEs are aimed at deepening specific knowledge and training aspects that optimize the preparation and training of the learner, allowing a personalization of the student's curriculum.

The type of training activities that contribute to earning credits for the activities chosen by the student are:

  • monographic courses;
  • seminars, conventions and conferences;
  • teaching activities of other Courses of Study of the same or other universities;
  • cultural activities promoted by Student or Professional Associations;
  • training internships at health and/or social care facilities under agreement;
  • tutoring activities.

The Elective Teaching Activities are to be achieved by attending activities suggested by the degree course or proposed directly by the student. In the case of ADEs identified by the student, to obtain recognition of the credits, it is necessary to previously submit the proposal for authorization by the Coordination of the Course and the President of the Course, who will verify its consistency with the training project. 10 hours of frontal activity correspond to one credit.

The proposed activities are inserted on the Moodle portal of the degree course and at the end of the activity the students are required to upload certificates of participation or self-certification (in case a certificate is not provided) in order to obtain the expected credits.

The student must upload the certificates of participation in the chosen activities directly on the platform. Minutes are recorded at the end of each academic year.

Laboratories

The laboratories are compulsory activities for all students and are specific to the MED/50 scientific disciplinary sector. The laboratories have the aim of anticipating internship experiences to enable the student to acquire, in a safe and protected context, technical-practical, relational, organizational and problem solving skills. The laboratories also offer the opportunity for the student to train in applying theoretical principles to clinical practice. This training activity takes place in equipped environments, with small groups of students led by a professional teaching tutor who acts as a facilitator of learning and guarantees realism to the laboratory experience. Students are involved with questions and stimulated towards clinical and professional reasoning.

Students have the opportunity to express their satisfaction with the learning experience in the proposed laboratories via an online satisfaction questionnaire.

Other teaching activities

By Other we mean training activities aimed at acquiring further linguistic knowledge, as well as IT skills, relational skills, or in any case useful for entering the world of work, as well as training activities aimed at facilitating professional choices, through direct knowledge of the work sector. to which the qualification can give access, including, in particular, training and orientation internships.

All students of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of Modena are required at the end of each cycle of lessons (of each discipline or integrated course) to fill out the online evaluation questionnaire and print a receipt of completion, to hand it to the teacher before taking the exam or for the attendance signature.

As regards the procedure, it is possible to carry it out:

from a personal computer;from a workstation with a printer inside the Campus;from a workstation with a printer at the B.S.I. or another university library.

The faculty presidency is taking action in order to have more workstations with printers inside the campus.

TEACHING EVALUATION QUESTIONNAIRE PROCEDURE

  1. Connect to the website http://www.esse3.unimore.it
  2. Log in with the username and password that were provided at the time of enrollment (the same ones used with the badge to connect to the towers)
  3. Select the menu on the left "University Service"
  4. If you have lost your personal connection information (username and password) you can request them by sending an email to webhelp@unimore.it providing your personal details precisely
  5. At this point you will find the list of courses present in the booklet and not yet passed and you can proceed to their evaluation using the "attending" button
  6. If the specific course for which you want to fill out the questionnaire is not present in the booklet, you must use the "search for the teaching activity among those offered by your course of study" function, thus accessing all the teaching activities offered by the course of study and from which you can select the course you are looking for
  7. Once you have filled out the questionnaire you must print the "completed" form to show to the teacher when requesting the attendance signature on the booklet
  8. In the case of "integrated courses" all printouts of the individual modules of that particular course must be delivered to the teacher.
  9. Use the "print cumulative certificate" function which allows you to obtain the list of all the completed questionnaires on a single page, allowing you to print a single cumulative module to show to each teacher to obtain the attendance signature.

Please note

For any difficulty related to filling out the questionnaire, contact Dr. Alina Maselli of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery at the email address: alina.maselli@unimore.it

The English Language Test is intended for all freshmen at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. It is a mandatory test that each student must take in order to be directed towards an effective language learning path as provided by their Department.
The Test, in addition to providing indications on the initial level of preparation, can lead to the recognition of language suitability and related credits.

The English Language Test is taken only once and registration for it is completed through Esse3. Students can register on any date they wish.

The results of the English Language Test that students can obtain will be: A1, B1.

Upon reaching the A1 level, it is mandatory to attend the English course and take the related exam.

The B1 level exempts from attendance and the exam, and allows you to automatically acquire English language suitability.

Any language certifications in the possession of students must be sent to the Director of Teaching Activities for the request for validation to the course teacher.

Studiarefficace is a study method service to support all freshmen in their university studies, through suggestions that allow them to better understand the university system, adopt useful strategies for following lessons, studying and taking exams.

Through a short path, it is possible to attend video lessons from home, use material to practice, take an assessment test and receive a final certificate.
